Lee Eng Beng attended Han Chiang High School and later became an art teacher at the Eng Beng Art Centre. He achieved recognition by winning awards including the winner of the Young Artist Award at the Penang Museum Annual Art Exhibition and First Prize at the Malaysian Watercolour painting competition organised by the Teochew Association in 1994. Throughout his career, Lee has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions, both locally and internationally. His work has been showcased in prestigious events such as the Asian Watercolour Federation Exhibition, the South Korea International Watercolour Exhibition, the Japan International Watercolour Exhibition, and the Taiwan-ASEAN Watercolour Exhibition. Locally, he has exhibited at the Pesta Pulau Pinang Open Art Exhibition and the Penang Gallery's Penang Artists List Art Exhibition.
