Description Dubbed as "The Apple King", Lim Kim Hai has long been fascinated by apples, using them as a symbol of life and vitality. In this painting, he presents a still life within a frame, highlighting the apples against a grainy wooden texture.

Lim Kim Hai, a renowned Malaysian artist, has made significant contributions to the art world. Educated at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, he has received numerous accolades, including the Golden Award from the Salon des Artistes Francais, Paris, and the Prix Henri Lehmann from the Institut de France. His work has been exhibited internationally, with solo exhibitions in countries like Singapore, France, Russia, Jordan, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand.
