Description Yusof Gajah's naive painting is a vibrant and whimsical depiction of a city, bursting with colour and imagination. Mohd Yusof bin Ismail, nicknamed Yusof Gajah was a celebrated artist known for his vibrant, whimsical depictions of elephants. Besides painting, he was an accomplished author and illustrator of children’s books, winning awards like the Noma Concours Award for Picture Book Illustrations. Yusof’s influence extended beyond Malaysia, and his works have been exhibited internationally, earning him a special place in the art world as an ambassador of Malaysian culture and creativity.
