Description Shima Abu Hazim's paintings offer a fresh perspective on urban landscapes, transforming complex cityscapes into vibrant and visually appealing compositions. Her bold colours and stylized buildings create a joyful and energetic atmosphere, inviting viewers to explore her unique artistic vision. Shima's ability to simplify complex urban environments demonstrates her skill in capturing the essence of a city.

Shima is a versatile artist known for her diverse artistic endeavours. She graduated from MARA Institute of Technology in 1986 with a degree in Pottery and Ceramic. Shima has exhibited her works internationally and experimented with various mediums, including batik painting, textile design, intaglio printmaking, mixed media, collages, and handmade paper. Her recent focus has been on traditional Malay houses, as seen in her House Monument Landscape and Contemporary Decorative Art series.
