b. Kedah, 1962
Description Featuring a bold interplay of vibrant reds, oranges, greens, and turquoise, the painting is a dynamic explosion of colour. The artist's loose brushstrokes and expressive lines create a sense of energy and movement, while the fragmented composition of geometric and organic forms adds visual intrigue.

Rafiee Ghani won the Minor Award in the Young Contemporary Artists exhibition (BMS) in 1984 and 1985, and the Minor Award in the 1991 Salon Malaysia. He placed 2nd in the Malaysia Art Open in1994 and was the Malaysian winner of the Asean Art Award. He did not complete his studies at the De Vrije Academie Voor Bildeendie Kunst at the Hague, the Netherlands, in 1980, but obtained his Diploma at ITM (1981-1985), and a Master’s from the Manchester Metropolitan University (Manchester Polytechnic) in Britain (1986-1987). He had taught at ITM (1986-1988, 1989-1990, and in Mahe, the Seychelles (1991-1993).
