Description Soon Lai Wai is well known for painting lotus and mountains. Set against luminous background of warm tones, his expressive brushstrokes and bold use of colour evoke the delicate yet resilient nature of the lotus, symbolizing purity, enlightenment, rebirth, and beauty.

Although he had a background in art education from Saito Academy, where he learned the basic foundation and skills to painting, Soon Lai Wai started out as a graphic designer before making the decision to become a full-time artist. He has exhibited his work in solo shows and collections worldwide, including at the E&O Hotel’s Art Colonnade and the Momentous Art Gallery in Singapore.
